Welcome to the website of the AFT Black Caucus Chicago Chapter. The Chicago Teachers Union and the City Colleges of Chicago are two of the locals involved, but any members of the American Federation of Teachers can attend. There are monthly meetings at which to network and discuss the latest issues in public education, with a particular emphasis on black students, clinicians, PSRPs, teachers and communities in Chicago.

ABOUT US
The Chicago chapter of the AFT Black Caucus has a proud history dating back as far as the early ’70s. Our membership is active and the steering committee, experienced.
OUR PROGRAMS
The Chicago Chapter of the AFT Black Caucus conducts educational programs and sponsors a scholarship for Black students of education.
Membership
Any member of the American Federation of Teachers educating in Chicago can join the Black Caucus and dues start at just $10-$20 per year.
